“Cumberland Gap” | Beginner to Intermediate – Guitar Lesson with TAB

$9.00

A lesson on the classic old-time tune “Cumberland Gap”. For this arrangement, I wanted to capture some of the clawhammer banjo action of Clarence Ashley, who was one of the first people to record this song. In this lesson, we’ll take a look at 3 arrangements of the melody: beginner, intermediate and advanced. We’ll start with the basic melody in the beginner version using only downstrokes. We’ll then build on this melody by adding additional techniques like alternating picking and some faster runs. Then, in the advanced version, we’ll add in some rhythmic elements and some crosspicking. Add this classic tune to your repertoire and learn how to play this melody based on your skill level, allowing you to work your way up to the more advanced version.

You will receive an email with a link to your lesson page containing the full lesson videos, tab, backing tracks and file downloads.
