A lesson on “Home, Sweet Home!” – originally composed in 1823 and the original lyrics are the source of the famous saying of the same name. This lesson includes two distinct interpretations – the basic, beginner melody and a more advanced version that includes some Doc Watson style cross picking and George Shuffler style sweep picking. In this 4-part lesson, we’ll take an in-depth look at the basic melody for “Home, Sweet Home!” and explore a more advanced version with specific techniques that give this Doc style tune it’s old-timey feel.
