A look at the classic fingerpicking tune “Railroad Bill” by Etta Baker. This tune is a great example of the Piedmont blues guitar style which is characterized by fingerpicking with a regular, alternating bass pattern played with the thumb and a syncopated melody using the higher strings generally picked with the index finger.
