The first of a 2 part series on “Texas Gales” from the album Blake and Rice which covers the complete Norman Blake and Tony Rice melodies. In this lesson, we’ll be taking a look at the Norman Blake version including the A part, B part and C part as well as the full Rhythm & Chords lesson. Played out of the open C position, this traditional tune makes use of some classic Norman Blake runs and is a great example of Norman’s approach to this classic tune.
