In this lesson, we look at 3 variations of the melody for the classic Appalachian traditional tune “Tom Dooley”. Each variation increases in complexity so you can build the melody as you go. The first version is the most simple with only downstrokes. The second adds a few notes and alternate picking and the third variation is the Doc Watson version.
