Lick #40 | Wyatt Rice – Bluegrass Guitar Lesson With Tab

$0.00

The 40th episode of my guitar lick series, on a lick inspired by one of the great ambassadors of bluegrass guitar: Wyatt Rice. The brother of Tony Rice, Wyatt Rice often accompanied Tony on tour in the 1980’s and beyond. Wyatt’s playing style, heavily influenced by his brother Tony, remains a testament to an innovative pentatonic blues soloing style that changed bluegrass guitar forever. Wyatt also played a similar Santa Cruz dreadnought guitar model as his brother, with the instantly recognizable enlarged sound hole and signature tone. This lick in the key of A is played out of capo 2 and can be used as a turnaround lick on the tune “Old Joe Clark”.
